Dave Hinman has spent over thirty years as an educator in independent schools. He served as the Director of Athletics at both the Taft School (Watertown, CT) and St. Sebastian’s School (Needham, MA). In addition to being an athletic administrator and a math teacher, Dave has been a head coach of football, basketball, and baseball teams. As head basketball coach at Taft and St. Sebastian’s, he has led his teams to five conference championships. Dave has placed players at high academic colleges, including Amherst, Brown, Babson, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Colgate, Columbia, Connecticut College, Cornell, Davidson, Dickinson, Holy Cross, Howard, Middlebury, Princeton, Trinity, Tufts, Virginia, Williams, and Yale. Dave has also been part of the college process as a parent of two sons who were recruited to play college basketball at Colby.
